A Case For Butter

"You better not eat all that butter, or you'll get fat like me." *she says as she's spraying butter flavored and colored products on her whole grain toast*
What is everyones beef with butter? How did something as nutrient rich, and yummy become accused of making the scale go up a few pounds? When did something derived naturally become replaced with butter flavored plastic and digly---- ugh I can't pronounce it, become what everyone thinks of as "healthy"??
This is just as bad as cheese product replacement for real cheese. WHY??!
Why do we do this? I'm convinced this is a direct result of our fallen nature. Thank goodness this issue isn't as bad now as it was about ten years ago when literally everyone had "I can't believe it's not butter" in their refrigerators. Thank goodness most people nowadays read ingredient lists and know that less is more when it comes to ingredients. But as I was strolling by the butter and yogurt section at Walmart the other day I noticed that there was a small section for real butter next to this HUGE section for butter flavored crap. WHY PEOPLE. What really makes me lose hope for humanity is when I see a recipe with this stuff. Not only did people buy this for their toast, but now it's in recipes instead of REAL butter. Sad.
How did this crap help us? IN NO WAY... This stuff is HORRIBLE for your health, not to mention horrible tasting. Replacing good old fashioned butter with this stuff has only worsened the health of us all. Yeah, we do fast food, we eat donuts, but making replacements for things that AREN'T EVEN BAD FOR YOU??? What is wrong with us? There is something seriously wrong with people mixing a bunch of chemicals together and calling it food instead of just eating the real stuff. I'd much rather spread some churned milk fat on toast than food dye and artificial flavors. The dumb thing is that the fake stuff is making you fatter when that's the reason people replaced butter! BECAUSE IT WAS MAKING THEM FAT!! I'm sorry, I'm getting angry.
Just please do me a favor and eat REAL butter, okay? It's not going to make you fat, it's not going to give you acne, it's not going to hurt your health. Trust me, you won't regret it. Also am I the only one who LOVES the smell of melting butter? It's amazing.
Thanks for letting me rant.
