Tips For Eating Healthy When You're Busy

As you may know, I recently moved. Although I didn't eat as healthy as I should have; I did figure out some easy and quick ways to eat healthier when there was barely enough time to even think about food. So here are some tips to eat healthier when you're extremely busy:

#1: Buy bars. The bars I personally bought were Larabars. They're vegan, gluten free, dairy free, and most are sugar free as well. Usually the ingredients are dates, some type of nut, and maybe another dried fruit, or extract. Some of the them have chocolate chips which do contain cane sugar, but hey, that's better than your typical granola bar.

#2: Use the crockpot as much as possible. A few weeks before we were supposed to be moving, my mom made a couple make ahead freezer crockpot meals, so when the time came we could have something homemade instead of running to fast food. This brings me to my next tip:

#3: Freeze as much as you can. Me and my sister cut up a whole chicken and that is what we ate. It doesn't take long to cook some chicken pieces and all you need is a side, like frozen spinach perhaps? Having already cut up chicken in the freezer made it incredibly easy to thaw, cook, and eat.

#4: This should be the last thing you want to do, but some fast food places have healthier options. You don't have to get a spicy chicken combo everytime you go to Wendy's. Have you noticed they have salads, too? And their chili is not half bad. Hardees will wrap your burger in lettuce for a gluten free option. Don't just get "whatever" because it's fast food. You can do better there, too.

Those are my tips for staying "healthier" when you're busy. I hope you liked the post, and if you have any tips, feel free to share.

Take care

-Amy
