I'm going to share with you a recipe I like to make when I'm craving chocolate cake (which is a lot). Being gluten free it's always good to have easy go to recipes for your favorite 'bready' foods. without further ado, where's the recipe:
chocolate cake single serve (quick and easy):
● 3 TBS oat flour (or any gluten free flour, but I normally use oat because I typically have oats on hand)
● 1 1/2 TBS cocoa powder
● 1 TBS brown sugar, or coconut sugar
● 1 TBS melted coconut oil, or butter
● 1 TBS maple syrup
● 1/4 TSP baking powder
● 2 TBS milk, or water
● a pinch of salt
mix well and bake at 350° until a toothpick comes out clean. top with whipped cream, icing, caramel sauce, or ice-cream and enjoy!
chocolate cake for decorating and sharing:
● 1/4 cup oat flour (or any gluten free flour)
● 1/4 and 1/8 cup of cocoa powder
● 1/4 and 1/8 cup of brown sugar
● 1/4 cup of melted coconut oil, or butter
● 1 TBS of baking powder
● 1/2 cup of milk (you may need a little more)
● 1 egg
● a pinch of salt
mix well and bake at 350° until done! here I made a double layered cake with jam inbetween the layers and whipped cream on top!
