It is now that time of the year where you're constantly trying to get excited about Christmas, right? At least that's what I do. Although I'm SO thankful that 2018 is almost over, I still get that "end of the year depression" ya know? The "wow what the heck did I accomplish this year?? literally nothing." I get it, I know it really sucks, but what I'm focusing on is getting in that Christmas spirit, so I'm gonna share with y'all the things I've been doing if you guys wanna try them out.

#1. SMELL: be it essential oils in a diffuser, a cinnamon scented candle, or boiling some clove, cinnamon, and orange peel on your stove top; christmasy scents are the best to get you in that holiday mood.

#2. Decorate: I know this is bit of a no brainer, but hear me out. DON'T WAIT FOR THE LAST MINUTE TO GET YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE. Turn on those lights, hang that wreath. JUST DO IT (the Christmas tree smells amazing as well)

#3. Read your bible dangit: reading the "Christmas story" over and over again in December is not only a good way to learn, but it's easy to lose sight of what we're celebrating in the hustle 'n bustle of gift buying and such.

#4. Music: Listening to music is my personal favorite on this list. AND before you say anything, I know that a lot of Christmas music is trash. Believe me, I know. BUT it does put you in a Christmasy mood even if the music isn't your preferred genre. I've found a playlist of just Christmas instrumentals and it's very nice. There are some Christmas songs that I really do enjoy though, take the Green Day Christmas song, I would listen to that all year if I could. I'll leave the playlist of the instrumental music I found and a Christmas playlist Joey made which I've been enjoying this year as well.

#5. Drinks: Be it hot chocolate, spiced mead, wassail, or egg nog drink those Christmas drinks they're amazing

#6. Cookies: Just. Cookies. Need I say more?

#7. Spend time with family: I've been blessed with a great family, but if you weren't then spend as much time as possible with your friends. Spending time with the people you love around this time is so important

#8. Buy gifts: Buying gifts for the people you love is honestly the best feeling. Just thinking about how much they're gonna love what you got them just makes me so happy. If you don't have the money to buy gifts, you could always ask to help with wrapping. I love wrapping gifts and listening to Christmas music WHILE wrapping gifts really puts you in the Christmas mood.

#9. Christmas movies: Just curl up in a red blanket with a mug of hot chocolate and watch those Christmas movies.

Well, that's all I've got. I hope you have a great Christmas!
